High School Ice Hockey: Eastern Has Little Problem with Shawnee Monday, December 16, 2002 By Mike Costantino Anthony Orner had two goals and two assists and Danny Meyers stopped twenty-five shots as Eastern skated by Shawnee 7-1 in Tier 1 action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The Vikings, who are the healthiest they have been all season, are starting to jell as a team. Despite having only two seniors, forward Mike Frohberg and defenseman Joe DiLauro, Eastern is playing disciplined hockey and avoiding the silly penalties. After Rory Levinson put Eastern up 1-0, Orner and Brandon Tunstall, whose injured foot seems to have healed, broke in and Orner's quick shot from the slot found the back of the net and the Vikings led 2-0. |
