By Mike Costantino In a battle for first place in the SJHSIHL JVA Division, Delran defeated Eastern 5-3 as Brad Livingston notched a hat trick. The game marked the debut of Lindsay Roy, the first female player to skate for the Vikings and she played well. But this game belonged to Livingston, and he scored his first goal early on with Shamus Savage assisting. Jim McDevitt scored at the nine minute mark to put Delran up 2-0, but back came the Vikings as Randy Einfalt cut the lead in half on a feed from Bryce Lawson and it was 2-1. With just under four minutes left in the period, Drew Hoser tied the game at 2-2 with Angelo Nocella getting the assist. Livingston would score the next two goals to give Delran a 4-2 lead midway through the second period and Bryan Jewell scored late in the period to give Delran a three goal lead at 5-2. With a three-goal lead Delran played solid defense and Eastern could only muster one goal scored by Geoff Cardamone. Delran remains undefeated with the 5-3 win. Photos by Boog Williams
