It was only their second game on their schedule and maybe it was a sign of good things to come. For the Lady Cougars from Cherry Hill West, seeing Eastern and Collingswood as their first two games of their season had to be a bit intimidating. Eastern had made it to the semi-finals of the South A playoffs last year while Collingswood had captured the Olympic Conference National Division title. For West, none of that mattered as they stumbled against Eastern but rallied against Collingswood. The Cougars battled to an impressive 10-10 deadlock that proved to be a small victory for Cherry Hill West.
At the start of the season, the weather just did not cooperate as April showers caused several cancellations. Three games so for Collingswood as their Middle Township, Cherry Hill East and Eastern games were all postponed. But the two games that the Panthers were able to play, they were in complete control over Moorestown Friends and Pennsauken. After not playing for almost two weeks, today’s match was a welcomed one for the players.
