Chris Riggs scored four goals and assisted on two more as Clearview defeated Cherokee 2 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees by a score of 8-3. Cherokee broke out on top early in the first period as Tom Paradise gave the Chiefs fans something to cheer about just over three minutes into the game. Riggs responded sixty seconds later on a give and go with Mike Sullivan. Less than three minutes later those same two hooked up again, this time Riggs fed Sullivan and his quick shot put Clearview on top 2-1.
Seconds later Jim Fritz blast from the circle found the net and Clearview led 3-1. Matt Cardill scored on the power play for Cherokee 2 to cut the lead to 3-2 heading into the middle stanza. Clearview controlled the play much of the period and goals by Matt Gagne and two by Riggs, his second goal he out-fought the defenseman along the boards and unleashed a laser that found the back of the net, put Clearview in control 6-2. The third period featured eleven penalties and seemed like it took forever to finish. Shane Kelly scored for Cherokee and Riggs and Andrew Michaels tallied for Clearview.
