High School Ice Hockey: Clearview Too Much For Highland Monday, October 13, 2003 By Mike Costantino SJSports Staff Writer Clearview opened its SJHSIHL season with a thrashing of Highland 18-3, in action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Just about everyone scored for Clearview who was led by Wyatt Fox with three goals, Bill Dunbar with a goal and three assists and Jim Sprinkle and Tom Fritz with two goals each. Mike Verano, Lou Gray and Andrew Trapani scored the Highland goals. In a game that is this one-sided, it still raises the same issues that have been raised before, why can’t the league re-shuffle teams when it becomes apparent that teams belonging in Tier 2 should be placed there? Highland was missing their starting goalie, and maybe the score would have been closer, but the difference in skill level is something that can not be missed. Photos by Art Redd
