The sound of a baseball being hit by an aluminum bat was a familiar noise at Cinnaminson. The top seeded Pirates were hosting eighth seeded Audubon in a South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinal matchup. For the Green Wave, it was their second game of the bracket as they had earned the right to play the number one team with their win over Glassboro. Audubon did not wanted to be eliminated as they kept pace and outscored the Pirates to move onto the next round. Mike Slattery not only picked up the win for Audubon, but he also had four hits to highlight the Green Waves' 17-12 victory.

No lead was safe in this slugfest with ten runs scored in the first inning alone. Audubon looked to have a comfortable five run lead after their top half of the first inning was completed. Cinnaminson matched their opponent’s momentum and the runs scored to even this game. Audubon quickly erased a two run deficit and turned it into a five run lead after four complete innings. Mike Slattery and Ron Price were the big hitters on this day both knocking in three runs batted in.
