By Mike Costantino Buddy Flick and Mike Dandurand each scored two goals to lead Triton to an 8-2 victory over Cherry Hill West in a game played at the Coliseum on Monday night. Mike Mastro scored both goals for West. Triton took control of the game early, scoring in the first minute as Ed Cross followed up a shot by Dandurand and the quick 1-0 lead. After Moroni made it 2-0 at the nine-minute mark, West cut the lead in half thirty seconds later when Mike Moffett set up Mastro and the period ended at 2-1. Triton would blow open the game early in the second period, scoring three times in less than two minutes. Flick would score his two goals thirty-six seconds apart with Bill Brill assisting on both goals and the score was 4-1. Then Joe Bangs would make it 5-1 just over a minute later with Ed Skomsky getting the assist. Tritons' defense shut down West, especially their best player Alex Vasserman, and West was unable to muster a comeback. Dandurand scored his second of the game late in the period and the lead grew to 6-1. Third period goals by Wanton and Reeves for Triton and Mastros' second for West closed out the scoring at 8-2.
