MaST Charter was a team that has started out the season slowly and knew it would be another test against the Lady Cougars. But for Cherry Hill East, they were also in search of their first win of the season. In a tournament hosted by Cherry Hill East, the Cougars had little problems putting points on the scoreboard against their opponent. Nine East players got their names listed on the scorer’s sheet and an early double-digit lead resulted in an easy 73-28 victory. Vianca Tejada led the Cougars with 21 points.
The Lady Cougars controlled this game right from the tip-off. A sixteen point first quarter lead turned into a 32-14 advantage at halftime. Vianca Tejada set the tone for the rest of the team and Cherry Hill East responded with their first win of the season. Jenny Sisholtz scored 12 points and Tori Rossi accounted for 11 points for Cherry Hill East. Zena Tracey led MaST Charter with 7 points.
