For the majority of this wrestling match held at Cherry Hill East, the Cougars would look up at the scoreboard only to find themselves trailing the Eagles from Winslow Township. This Olympic Conference match was the first of two matches these teams would be competing in on the day. Neither the coaching staff nor the wrestlers from East appeared too worried about the score as they would trail by two points with two bouts to go. Jesse Cohen would put East ahead with a pin and Noah Bellar would avoid being pinned to secure the win. The Cougars would defeat Winslow Township by a 32-31 margin.
Quickly the Eagles would jump out to a 9-0 lead when Jordan Burroughs won by forfeit and Frank Chambers recorded a 6-3 decision over Andre Harmon. East would receive their first points of the match when Mike Lussier defeated Khayree Connor 7-1 during the 152 bout. Later on in the match and after Cherry Hill East forfeited their three match, Winslow would expand on their advantage to 28-17 after Andre Thompson defeat John Casey during the 112 bout. East would pull with two points, 28-26 after Jesse Lyman and Hank Dolan won their match. Cohen’s pinned in the third period during the 130 bout gave East their first lead of 32-28 leaving Winslow needing a pin to pick up the victory for the team. Josh Dickinson did his best to put Bellar down with a pin, but just couldn’t pull out the upset victory during the final bout.
