High School Baseball: Bishop Eustace Keeps Pace With Win Over East Monday, May 12, 2003 By Jerome Michaels SJSports Special Correspondent The Crusaders from Bishop Eustace were looking to increase their number in the win column after losing on Saturday breaking their four game win streak. Cherry Hill East had other plans as were looking to keep pace in the American Division of the Olympic Conference. Both teams needed this game, not only to claim their divisional titles, but also compete against a competitive team preparing them for the upcoming postseason. The Crusaders would use the third and fourth innings to blow past the Cougars by a 9-3 margin. Bishop Eustace would travel to Cherry Hill East and show that they were able to steal home field advantage by scoring first in this game. The Crusaders pushed across three runs in the third inning and five more runs in the fourth and jumped out to an 8-0 lead. East would score two runs against starting pitcher Greg Tocci, but things would settle down and Eustace would cruise to the victory. Mitch Palazzo would suffer the loss for Cherry Hill East.
