By Forrest Robleto The Lady Cougars (7-1-1) had a surprising loss to Triton on Tuesday and were anxious to face the much higher rated (8-3-0) Renegades. It was expected to be a very close match and it was. Neither Cherry Hill's Emily Brenner nor Shawnee's Tricia Irwin saw many shots, but the shots that did get in were tough hard saves. Marrisa Kravitz put in the one shot that did get by Irwin, with a one timer that came from a one timer from Nicole Thurston that came from a one timer from Daniel DiBruno. Not much of a chance for any goal tender. The play was back and forth through most of the game with neither team letting the other get much of an offense going. Mary Daly and Daniel DiBruno both had exceptional games. The lone goal for Cherry Hill came with 15:50 left in the game and the 1 goal lead was not enough for comfort. Both teams played hard for 90 minutes. The goal, M. Kravitz's 8th on the year, was on a perfectly executed play that Coach Viktor Dombrovsky said, "was just like we practiced." Coach Sam Maira's renegades move to 8-3-0 and Cherry Hill to 8-1-1. Photos by Forrest Robleto
