Another Win for the Camden Catholic Basketball Program

Rashidat Junaid continues to show off her skills both on offense and defense for the girls' basketball team from Camden Catholic. When the match up with neighboring Bishop Eustace took place on their home court, Junaid did not disappoint her teammates or fans. The Lady Irish would stay a few steps ahead of their Olympic Conference National Division opponents during the entire game. The senior center would control the boards and score 20 points helping Camden Catholic post the 66-50 victory. With the win, the Irish would remain undefeated while Bishop Eustace would pick up their first loss in the division.
Yes, both basketball programs from Camden Catholic are undefeated. The boys program picked up their ninth win of the season against the Crusaders from Bishop Eustace. There’s a since of competition between the two programs as both wait to see who can extend their winning ways. On this day, Bishop Eustace would find themselves trailing by a 34-28 margin at the start of the second half. The Irish outscored their opponent 17-10 during the third quarter allowing them to cruise to the sixteen point victory. Rashidat Junaid led all scorers with her 23 point performance, Allison Lane added 16 and Jasmine Crew finished with 10 points for Camden Catholic. Bishop Eustace received 14 points from Jaime Medes to lead the Crusaders.
