So far this season, the Lady Renegades soccer team from Shawnee has been enjoying a winning season sitting on top of the Olympic Conference Patriot division. Every competitive contest against a formable opponent proves how well the team works together on the field. So when Shawnee visited Bishop Eustace for an inter-conference match-up, it would be the Lady Crusaders whose team play turned the tables to pick up the victory. Eustace was able to build on their early lead to post the 3-1 win.
Eustace knew what they were up against playing the Renegades and their stifling defense. So when Lina Carollo scored giving the Crusaders the early lead, that momentum quickly resulted in their second goal of the first half when Hannah Adams doubled their lead. When the second half began, the Renegades finally got on the scoreboard on Jess Perocho’s goal. This time it was Bishop Eustace’s defense that kept them ahead of Shawnee. When Laura Gabster scored for Eustace late in the game, it sealed the victory for the Crusaders.
