By Boog Williams The All Conference Olympic National Division Tennis championships were held at Overbrook Regional High School in Pine Hill, New Jersey. The first day, Tuesday, October 5, was a cold, wet day. The second day was cool but sunny. This was a two day event with the semi-final and finals held on October 6. In the Singles Championship, Erica Walter (Bishop Eustace) def Leighann Reilly (Bishop Eustace) by the score of 6-4, 6-3. In the Doubles Championship, Lauren Briglia and Olivia Phan (Bishop Eustace) def Maggie Gatti and Raina Johnson (Bishop Eustace) by the score of 6-3, 6-3. The other two players to make the All Conference team were both singles players, Alex Switenko of Edgewood and Leighann Reilly of Bishop Eustace. The Olympic National Division is made up of teams from Bishop Eustace, Edgewood, Cherry Hill West, Pennsauken, Overbrook, Paul VI, and Camden. The way the players make the tournment is by having a winning percentage of .500 or better by a specified cutoff date. All First Singles players make the tournment, even if the don't have a .500 winning percentage. Photos by Boog Williams
