Coach Falana kept the pressure on his boy's soccer team from Haddonfield during their game at Audubon High School. For two halves, he instructed the Bulldogs to stay focus and work hard for every ball. Haddonfield did exactly that, pressuring the Audubon defense to hustle their way past the Green Wave. Haddonfield (3-0-1) would shutdown and shutout their opponent by a score of 3-0 in a Colonial Conference Liberty Division game.
Haddonfield was looking to continue their winning ways and stay undefeated, as they have not allowed a single goal so far this season. The Bulldogs have gotten wins over Haddon Heights, Lindenwold and earned a scoreless tie against Sterling. Audubon was trying not to be another team not getting a goal and pick up the win at home.
The first half was all Haddonfield as they work together getting good looks at the net. Tyler Reed, Peter Reiss, Keenan Bross and the rest of the Bulldogs pressured the keeper but could not get that all important first goal. Each player for Haddonfield were winning those individuals battles setting up several scoring chances. In the first half, Audubon almost made good on their only shot of the half when Mark Allen was all alone with a good shot, but Tim Green came up with the save.
Knowing that only one goal is needed to win a game, Haddonfield continue their strong play. Finally, at the 23:44 mark Reiss was able to put a loose ball in front of the net past the Audubon keeper for a 1-0 lead. That goal inspired the Bulldogs on as Bross nailed a shot from the right hash mark to the back left side of the net four minutes later to pad Haddonfield's advantage. Reiss finished the scoring in this game as he settled a pass, worked his way past two defenders and his shot off the keeper's hands went into the net.
