By Joanne Costantino Nick DiPillo is an energetic young man with big dreams but serious focus. This New Brunswick native is a graduate of the local high school and plans to graduate from Rutgers University, New Brunswick in 3 years. Nick plays basketball for Rutgers as a guard. Playing basketball makes him happy. He would like to play professional ball, preferably his childhood favorite, the Knicks, but if that doesn't happen, he has another plan. He will teach high school business courses and coach. Like many people, he thinks Michael Jordan is the best in the sport because everything he does is effortless and graceful. Nick's choice of coaches is his present coach, Kevin Bannon, but feels that retired North Carolina Tarheels coach Dean Smith has left a legacy that is second to none. Nick's drive comes from the unconditional support of his late father and his number one fan club, Mom, who never misses a game and his 13 year-old sister. He credits his conditioning coach, Graig White, for pushing him to become the best athlete he can possibly be.
