South Jersey Football: Friday, August 6, 2004 By Marty Cross The Camden Lynx will travel on the road two weeks in a row before getting a bye week. The first stop is in Hyattsville, Maryland tomorrow to face the Maryland Marauders at 5:00 pm in an Eastern Division matchup. The Lynx (3-0, 4-0) are tied for first place with the Philadelphia Scorpions (3-0, 5-0) in the NAFL - Northeast Region - Eastern Division. The Marauders (2-0, 2-1) are third and also undefeated in the conference. Since the next opponent for the Lynx will be the Scorpions, the division standings should begin to show a front runner. The Lynx are very anxious to play since they received a forfeit last week from the Washington (DC) Chiefs. The coaching staff has patiently waited to get the right athletes in the right positions. This will be the second game that the Camden defense gets to show how much of an improvement they've made since acquiring some missing components. The Scorpions will travel up Route 130 to Willingboro, New Jersey to take on the Bears at 4:00 pm. |
