South Jersey Football: Gloucester County Generals Announce Combine and Conditioning Camp: Friday, April 29, 2005 By Al Hunt The 2005 DFL New Jersey Division Champion, Gloucester County Generals will be holding two open try-out's for the 2006 DFL season on August 21, and November 20. Registration starts at 9:30 A.M. at Owens Community Park on the corner of Wilmer and Sewell Streets, Glassboro NJ. Be prepared with workout clothing, sneakers and cleats. We will be testing your speed in the 40 yard dash, Nebraska Agility, 225 Bench and evaluating individual position drills. Every athlete must fill-out their player profile completely at the registration session or send the completed profile to the following email address: gloucestercountygenerals@comcast.net. There is a $30.00 non-refundable try-out fee for every player participating in the tryout. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Players with no registration fee will not be allowed to try-out. In 2006, the Generals will play their second season in the Diamond Football League (DFL), which is the largest men's Spring/Summer semi-professional football operation on the continent. With the DFL having teams in NJ, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, and now the addition of DFL Florida, our sponsors will receive valuable publicity while giving our aspiring talented players the opportunity to gain experience and exposure, a POSSIBLE deal with a local AM radio station for game broadcast is in the works. Also, The Gloucester County Generals announce veteran conditioning camps that will be held a James Atkinson Park, (Bethel Mill), on Delsea Dr. in Washington Twp., there will be 3 such camps starting on a Friday evening, Saturday morning, and then again Sunday morning. Veterans are expected to make 2 of these days per camp they will be as follows: June 24,25,26, July 15,16,17 and August 6,7,8. Friday's set to start at 7 and over by 8:30, Sat. and Sun set to start @ 9 am over by 11. There will be no cost, just trying to keep it rollin'. it should be noted that these camps are open to anyone that has any interest in playing in the Spring. |
