Today I covered a soccer game and I almost didn't write about the game because of the way the coach was yelling at the refs. The kids out on the field hear and see the coach and then they think "I guess I can do it too". I was standing near the scorer's table and just said : It is only a game, people make mistakes, let it go. I stopped covering High School Hockey because of the language that was being used on the ice by kids 14-18 years old. Nothing was being done about the language so I stopped covering it. I blame the refs, league and the coaches for not stopping it. I guess I am old fashion. |
