Basketball Spotlight: Thursday, February 15, 2007 By Bob Heller INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia is ranked in the NCAA Division II Northeast Region Women's Basketball Poll for the second consecutive week. The Devils are ranked tenth in this week’s poll, the same position as last week. USP entered the poll for the first time this season last week. As of the start of this week, the Devils had a 15-8 record against Division II opponents and a 13-7 record against Division II opponents within the region. Currently the Devils are 16-9 overall and have a 13-7 record in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games, placing them in fourth place in the league standings. The only other CACC team in the regional poll, Holy Family University is ranked fifth and leads the CACC with an 18-0 conference record. The Devils have two games remaining on their regular season schedule, both conference games on the road. USP will face Georgian Court University on February 22, 2007 and Felician College on February 24, 2007. The CACC playoffs will begin on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. |
