The Devils improve to 18-6 overall and 17-4 in league play. USP is also an impressive 10-1 in conference road games this season. Felician falls to 7-17 overall and 6-16 in league play. USP placed four players in double figures led by senior captain Leah Shumoski (Sr., Marple Newtown HS/Broomall, PA). Shumoski scored 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds. After Norman opened the period with as basket to put Felician up three, 31-28, the Devils went on a 13-1 run to take a nine-point lead, 41-32 at the 13:19 mark. Shumoski added another layup, was fouled and made the free throw to complete the 3-point play and boost USP’s lead to six 37-31. After Suzanne Albert made one of two free throws, Edwards and Shumoski followed with jumpers to complete the run. Felician’s Laurin Brown made a three-point field goal to pull the Golden Falcons within six, 41-35 at the 12:57 mark but this was as close as they would get as USP went on a 17-5 run to pull away and take a 58-40 lead with 4:04 left. Nine of the Devils' points came at the free throw line, including a pair of free throws by Rance when Felician Head Coach Jay Latko drew two technical fouls at the 10:39 mark and was ejected. A three-point play by Felician’s Katelyn Gardepe pulled the Golden Falcons within 15, 60-45 at the 3:32 mark but this was all they would score as USP finished the game scoring the last five points to make the final margin 20 points, 65-45. The Devils connected on 23 of 50 shots from the field (46.0%) while Felician made just 18 of 61 (29.5%).
