By Charlie Barker The Holy Cross boys walked away with the championship at the Burlington County Scholastic League Tournament, held yeasterday at the Maple Bowl in Pennsauken. The boys came on especially strong, beating second place Northern Burlington by 49 pins. The Lancers' John Butt tossed a 289 in the second game. The Holy Cross girls managed to hold off a strong performance by Rancocas Valley to win their half of the tournament. The Lady Lancers were anchored by Senior Katrina Gibson, owner of the tournament high game (247) and high series (664). Northern Burlington's Denver Bird bowled the first 300 game of his career and a 752 series in the third game of the boys competition. His was the only 700 series in the tournament.
