Maness’ RBI-single in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Brad Strauss
and sent the Riversharks to a 4-3 win over the Pennsylvania Road Warriors on

It was the second-straight win for the Riversharks over the Road Warriors
as they improved to 5-7 during the second half. The Riversharks were able to
overcome three solo home runs by
Evan Thomas battled through a tough start to shut down the Road
Warriors over his final six innings on the mound to earn the victory. Todd
Rizzo entered in the ninth and held down the fort to earn his seventh save of
the year.
After using the a fourth inning home run by Troy Cameron and a fifth
inning blast by Tom Hage to pull within a run, 3-2, the Riversharks
manufactured a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth to decide the game.
Tony Rodriguez led the offense with three hits, while Ryan Jones and
Strauss each had two hits apiece.
The Riversharks begin a three-game series against the Nashua Pride on
Wednesday, July 28 at 6:35 p.m. The game will feature fireworks after the contest
