It was supposed to be the rubber match for the Atlantic City Surf and the Camden Riversharks. It was also supposed to be Camp Day for several thousand children at Campbell field and a day for the fans to participate in Omelet day at Campbell field.
Well there were omelets for all to enjoy, but the rain stopped the game and most of the kids didn't show because of the downpour. Those that did had a pretty good time dancing on the concourse and generally enjoying a rainy day outside without getting wet. Since it was the last game of the first half for the Riversharks who were obligated to try to get the game played. By 12:30PM it was clear that the rain which had been predicted not to start till late this afternoon was here to stay. Individuals were offered a ticket for any remaining game. The game on July 27 is going to be moved from 6:35PM to 10:00AM and camp day was moved to the 27th. Representatives from each camp need to exchange the tickets at the box office before July 27.
