South Jersey Baseball: Lincoln Mikkelsen Named Pitcher of the Month Also Named to All-Star Team Wednesday, July 3, 2002 By David W. Unkle SJSports Staff Writer Riversharks starting pitcher Lincoln Mikkelsen was named the Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month for June today. During June, Link went 5-0 with an ERA of just 1.47. In his five June starts he worked 37 innings allowing just six runs while striking out 26 opponents and allowing just one walk. Lincoln has been the driving force behind our pitching staff this season, noted General Manager John Brandt. He is very consistent and he does an exceptional job of throwing strikes. Allowing one walk in an entire month is an incredible accomplishment. It has been a big week for Mikkelsen as he was named to the Atlantic League All-Star team on Monday.
