The men's baseball team from Middlesex County College traveled to Camden County to take on the Cougars. Middlesex scored all the runs they needed in the first inning to capture the win. Starting pitcher John Bird picked up the win for Middlesex as they went on to defeat Camden County Community College by a 5-3 margin.
In the first inning, Middlesex took advantage of every Camden County mistake. After Stephen Bailey scored the first run of the game and a bases load walk scored the second run, Matt Barletta and Brian Zalasa singled in the last two runs of the inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead. Middlesex would increase their lead by one when Ramon Carreras scored their fifth run of the game in the top of the second inning.
Camden County would get on the scoreboard in the second inning scoring two runs to cut their deficit to 5-2. Camden County would add one more run in the bottom of the seventh but could not close the gap. Middlesex survived a bases load with no one in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the win.
